Connecticut Rain Garden App

Connecticut Sea Grant

CLEAR and Connecticut Sea Grant partnered to develop a Rain Garden App designed to help people properly install a rain garden, a critical tool in the face of changing precipitation patterns. Through video tutorials, diagrams, text, and tools, the App guides one through determining the size and placement of the garden, selecting plants, digging and planting the garden, and maintaining the garden. It also includes tools for determining soil type, measuring the size of the area that will drain to the garden, and managing multiple rain garden projects

Sea Grant takes center stage in Oceanography special issue

NOAA Sea Grant-funded research and work with coastal and Great Lakes communities across the nation are being highlighted in a special issue of “Oceanography,” the official journal of The Oceanography Society. 

This special issue, published in April 2024, features 36 articles contributed by Sea Grant authors across 29 programs and the NOAA National Sea Grant Office.
