New Hampshire Sea Grant
Sea Grant coordinated a project to explore the legal authority, measures and consequences associated with the use of new 100 year floodplain maps by coastal communities in New Hampshire. The legal research was conducted by faculty and students from Vermont Law School and the findings were initially shared at a public forum in 2012. 2013 provided several opportunities to share the study results with community leaders who are interested in better managing floodplains and reduce their risk to legal challenges.
